We took a 5 day motorcycle tour to Chitwan National Park, which was absolutely unforgettable! The Hearts & Tears crew made us feel right at home. The organisation was great and the atmosphere relaxed. The trip into the jungle, staying with a traditional local family, was amazing. There's no better way to see Nepal.  We'd recommend a tour with these guys to anyone!

What can I say, what a way to celebrate my 30th birthday; learning to ride a motorcycle in Nepal, amidst a backdrop of the Annupurna foothills. Rick you were a true superstar tutor (with the patience, encouragement and humour to match). Who would think after a stiff cup of chya at the local tea stop and 20 minutes instruction I would be riding solo with the wind in my face, taking in some spectacular scenery whilst avoiding a few chickens along the way! I'll be back to hit the road with you soon...... thank you for the most memorable and exciting birthday, and making me feel young again.

Having never ridden a bike, I was delighted to be given a chance to do a 5 day motorbike jungle safari. Rick gave me a great one-day lesson where I was able to quickly get to grips with the essential skills needed. The trip was brilliant and Rick and Moniek kept a good eye on my progress giving me vital tips along the way. Now a confident and SAFE rider!

I never thought it was possible but, thanks to Rick’s teaching, I learned to ride on the roads of Nepal - and I’ve done a 5-day loop to Chitwan with a group of 9 bikes! I’d never ridden, but my friends were experienced bikers. It was an incredible adventure for all of us. We have been in the jungle, through rivers, and across the path of a rhino! Hearts & Tears did everything to make us happy. Their knowledge of Nepal and its roads was perfect. They were able to improvise each day according to the riding conditions and the mood of the moment. In summary, it was perfect and, in Nepal, “everything possible”!

I didn’t think too much about my riding before, but cornering is so important. I now understand how to make proper turns, and give the correct commands to the bike. I’m much safer and faster now, and other riders should realize the benefits of this Advanced course.  Save yourself and others. You cannot learn this by yourself, and I have never had anyone else show me this stuff. Hearts & Tears are specialists, and Rick really knows how to ride a bike.

If you’ve seen these cool bikers riding in Asia, and you always wanted to travel like that as well; you have come to the right place! We knew nothing about riding motorbikes when we first came to Hearts & Tears, and met Rick and Moniek. And two weeks later we were able to ride, wherever we wanted, all over Nepal and India. A dream had come true!

Rick and Moniek are the best! They are professional, and they know everything about bike-riding: techniques, safety, traffic-rules (the few you have to know in Nepal), adventure-traveling, you name it! They make excellent trips just as you like them (we made two trips, one for three days and another for six days), and you learn so much. And best of all, it is cheap as hell!

We traveled through Nepal and India for five months, and the absolute highlight of the whole trip were the two weeks with Rick and Moniek riding around Nepal. So don’t doubt, just do it!

Since I was in Nepal and I had heard so much about these old British bikes, I thought I should give them a try. All the equipment was provided by the club and was new and, more importantly, of a good standard. The bikes had been thoroughly checked for faults and serviced prior to our departure. Overall, a great experience and one every biker should have - it adds that extra 'riding string' to your bow!

Thank you for making my stay in Nepal such a wonderful experience.  I’ve been riding for nineteen years, on some fantastic roads around the world, but I will never forget the rides that I went on with you guys. I just wish I’d met you when I first started out on bikes – it would have saved me a lot of cuts and bruises. It’s never too late to learn, and I’d like to think that my cornering has improved (slow in, fast out…) and that I’ve become a better rider. Although I never did get to grips with riding and trying to take in the fabulous scenery!  I honestly can’t think of a better introduction to biking than Hearts & Tears.  I can’t wait to get back to Nepal to ride with you again.

We signed up for a 7 day guided trip around Nepal. Rick took my girlfriend pillion for the whole trip (thanks again). Our choice of bikes (Che, TataBullet and Flower Power) all rode superbly. We stayed in Bandipur the first night, an absolute must do. Tansen has one of the most original restaurants we have ever been to. Spirits didn't drop on the ride back to Pokhara as we took one of the most awesome roads ever. I don't think there was one straight bit on it all day and the views were fabulous! Rick & Moniek coped with everything we threw at them admirably … even a snapped chain! A great balance of professionalism and good fun. The ride was awesome and the highlight of our trip to Nepal. You get to see a whole different side to the country on a bike. The freedom it opens up is priceless. If you want to do something unique, then give Hearts and Tears a go. It's unbelievable value for money.

Hello, to all of you dreaming of a long motorbike ride in Asia. I had never ridden in my life ‘til I met Moniek, and took my very first lesson. They give the first lesson in a field, teaching the basic techniques which are important to drive safely and enjoyably in Asia. Moniek was incredible and professional, she has the knowledge and patience to teach you the things you need to be safe and enjoy your journey without fear or hesitation. I absolutely loved it!

OK, something a bit different here. Hearts & Tears Motorcycle Club is brand new and based in Pokhara. They have "Enfield Bullets" and will give you training in how to ride these antique motorcycles. Once you have mastered the technique of controlling them they will give you road training to get used to Nepali traffic "rules" - or lack of them! Then, once you are trained to their satisfaction, you are ready to go on your adventure! This can be a trip to Sauraha to go on a safari, or whatever you fancy. If you have an idea then tell them and they will try and accommodate you. Prices are very reasonable and include full insurance. Go on - give it a go!

We were thrilled that we could ride around Pokhara (safely!) after two hours of instruction. We couldn't have done this without the good coaching of Moniek! Thank you for this exciting day!

How much is your life worth? I have a motorbike licence and rode in Israel. I found a 350cc Bullet in Kathmandu and rode to Pokhara. The road was stunning and incredible, but I spent 200km in fear - just trying to survive. Then I met Rick and Moniek. Honestly, I cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for Hearts & Tears. For only a little money in western terms, they taught me safe riding, proper bike control and lots of tips that helped me in the rest of my journey. If you want to ride a motorbike, listen to what Rick has to offer- especially if you want to stay in one piece – and remember that life is worth more than money.

I want to say thanks to Moniek for the time and patience you showed when you introduced me to motorbikes and took me round the lake in Pokhara – I have a lot of amazing memories of the time we spent there. Once back in Edinburgh, I continued bike lessons and have just passed! Many thanks, take care, and good luck with Hearts & Tears.

Seeing Nepal on a Royal Enfield was definitely a different experience. Rick and Moniek are great guides and instructors. Rick gave me valuable tips on how to keep my life on the winding roads of Nepal, while Moniek makes you feel confident about it. They are a great team and I had a fantastic time. Look forward to the sunset over a pint of Tuborg at Chitwan again! You will see Nepal in a way you would never experience before. Of course the Royal Enfields are the icing on the cake... so what are you waiting for? I say, "Have the cake and the icing!"

Riding a Bullet around Nepal shows the skills and confidence Rick gave me. The tuition he gave me was second only to the adventure of a lifetime. I took my bike test when I got back to the UK - I didn’t learn much, but passed easily. The best way to see Nepal is on a bike with Hearts & Tears, full stop.

You know as soon as you see the bikes and the clubhouse that Hearts & Tears is a far step from other bike hire companies in the area, but still at very competitive prices. A very professional set-up, with high quality bikes and gear ... they really stand out. They couldn't have looked after us more. Nothing was too much trouble and as they say in Nepal "anything's possible!" I have no hesitation recommending Hearts & Tears to anyone, and can't wait to go back to see more of such a fantastic country.

I am a street bastard. No, please, I have been in the jail in four countries for smoking this stuff. The life is hard and it is not fair. I believe in the nature, this is my religion. I drink one beer, I smoke one joint, and I am welcome to go back to every bar I have been in. I like to drive the 500 but, please, don’t follow me. This is not a Bullet, it’s a Royal Raju. I give power – wah! The life is only for fun. Some people look only for the faggot money, but they are only bastards. This is the point. One must look for self. I must only sponsor my life, and the rest I don’t care about.
